Sticky navbar

Post by dave c »

Hi again,
OK i installed the sticky so far on my live forum. I activated the search bar in navbar. but it displays in the header till u scroll down and then it moves to the navbar. is there any way to permanently move it to the navbar?
I did try your search in navbar extension but it displays a whole new line when i have the menubar activated with the buttons in navbar option. all other options display properly.

Not so much an order of operation but each extension being handled separately.

Download and unzip the attached

Disable, delete data and remove the files for NavBar Search

Disable Sticky Bar

UPLOAD

stickybar.css

TO

hifikabin/stickybar/styles/prosilver/theme

overwriting that file thats already there

Enable Sticky Header and purge your BROWSERS cache.

If that doesn't show properly with the header links I'll have to look at doing it another way, just let me know

stickybar.zip

EDIT Mail bounced back again

How weird, its working perfectly in my test environment.

Lets do it a different way. Download and unzip the attached,

Disable Header Link

UPLOAD

styles to overwrite the same directory in Header Link

Enable the Extension

Purge the Browsers cache

Cross the fingers

Ok,
I will try that today.

As another note: your last tweak works for the search bar to stay in the navbar all the time but only when the buttons are set "in header" or "below header" but for some reason not "in navbar" :smt017

Thats down to code blocks clashing (or not) Its always likely to happen when you have more than one extension trying to use the same space in the template.

SO Close!

so only problem is that it aligns next to the buttons. can we get it to align right?
